Knowing when to stop

Writer's picture: Harsha NagarajHarsha Nagaraj

I guess this is something we all need to work on. Knowing when to put a break to work, life, fake & false responsibilities.

Pushing inorder to pursue that which you think will bring happiness seems like a never ending process. You enter into a never ending whirlpool of fulfilling the false delusions of life based on what the people around us think. Why do you keep falling into this trap time & again?

Why are we so immersed and stressed in impressing others, losing our true identity?. Ever wondered why the emptiness in you is like a bottomless bowl?. Inspite of doing everything we can to the people & work , you feel like the spark in you is fading away. Never satisfied, Never complete & never ever happy.

Irrespective of what you do, that early childhood smile on your face never come back. You want to be a kid at heart but you pretend to be an adult. You seek the ones with whom you can just be your true self with absolutely no filters, yet you end up being with the one’s whose face you’d hate to see everyday.

Ever thought why you keep pushing yourself in the wrong direction all the time?

Answer : You aren't fueling your inner light. It’s crying out loud telling you to do those actions by which you’ll feel free & alive & yet you are turning a blind eye towards it.

You’ve spent your whole life on IQ, Now it’s time to focus on SQ, Spiritual Quotient.

Mark my words, your hard work, job, family is of no use if you do not fulfill the spiritual bowl of yours.

This is one pot you should never leave empty.

Pursue this as hard as you pursue to know what’s happening in the world while scrolling down the phone.

99.99 % of the world’s human beings ignore this side. When the very purpose for why you’re born is not pursued, how is it possible to remain silent & sane when you’re alive?. The utter discomfort you feel with your own existence is a never ending process.

So, Everyday for at least 30 minutes turn in & connect to the one who’s waiting for you.

So, Here’s what you can do to reach the above.

Meditate : Try to maintain at least 20 minutes of silence everyday. Followed by 10 minutes of contemplation.

Recharge : Visit at least one divine place so that you can recharge your depleting energy by the one who’s stronger than you. I visit Ashramas & math's. Find yours's.

Rejuvenate : Everyday do that one activity which helps you feels like it was worth spending your day

Soul connections : Everyday, Spend time talking to the ones with whom you feel like you’ve known forever even though you’ve hardly known one another for a very short time.

Sing : Nothing brings more silence & calmness in you than the voice of the one with which you can sail. So, sing & let the energy flow.

Pray : Offer your gratitude to oneself & the energy which is higher than you. Surrendering can work wonders. Speaking to people may not help often, speaking to the divine will,

Read - Books are nothing but a compilation of years of experience of the person who has master a skill that you aspire for. So read, learn & evolve during this journey for the clarity & insight you seek. The life we are leading is led by hundreds. Let’s learn from their mistakes.

Listen - Listen only to the wise & wise alone. Nothing else matters. Dont let anyones words fall on your ears. In life, Be very careful whom you hear from.

Still find it difficult to follow the above?.

I’m able to follow all the above by consistent practice of yoga. If it’s the same with you, Join me so that we can learn & evolve together.
